Review of the 2011 Von Zipper Fubar Goggles.

It seems that lately Von Zipper has been a household name on Easy Loungin. I have reviewed many goggles but lately have been sticking to the VZ product. I started with a review of the Feenom and now will move onto another one of the upcoming 2011 VZ goggles. Why have I been showcasing the VZ frames as compared to the other brands? I have an answer for you! I believe in Von Zipper. Von Zipper is tried and true. Built on the basis of self-expression and individualism, this brand, in my opinion, is the premier brand for eye wear in the action sports industry, especially snowboarding. VZ did not come into action sports with the vision of fulfilling any preexisting niche markets. They came into action sports with one goal; being true to there essence. This is why I believe so much in this brand. Von Zipper is genuine.

The product VZ makes has always stood among the best. They have perfected the blends of polyurethane for their goggle frames. They have continued developing better air circulation and venting. They have created and innovated style into an ever-growing fashion community. Yet in all the growth and evolution of snowboarding, Von Zipper is still Von Zipper. Tried and true. A few weeks ago I reviewed the VZ Feenom, now I would like to introduce a new goggle that will be showcased in the next years line. The Fubar.

Fubar is an old school word that holds much value and a very explicit meaning to the shred heads that laid the cornerstone of our industry. Go check it out on Urbandictionary.com. Similarly this goggle is a throwback goggle representing the evolution of snowboarding. The old school styled frame boasts new school technology. You will still get all the patented VZ quality. Polyurethane frame? Check! Dual layered lens? Check! Infiltrated circulation system? Check! But even more so than the other goggles in the line, the Fubar is equipped with mad comfort and style. The close to the face, extremely flexible frame allows for maximum comfort. It has insane peripheral vision. Its bendy and trendy. The best part about this goggle is truly what you would be representing. You represent snowboarding. This is a old schoolers goggle that has evolved into current style and trend. Some might say it is vintage; but not really, because it’s next years. It will come in a variety of throwback colors and colors trends that have been hot throughout the ages. There is a Miami color way, there is going be a hard core punk rock color way equipped with spiked straps, neon color ways and a multitude of other styles.

This goggle will compete with other price point goggles, but you wont sacrifice in quality. It will come in at a lower price than the Feenom and the Bushwick but will still give you all the attitude of those goggles. If you have any roots in action sports, this goggle is for you. If you have any style or feel the need to express yourself among the masses, this goggle is for you. If you’re a true individual and are comfortable and confident in who you are- this goggle is for you. If you are insecure go buy a pair of Oakleys. Sunny and Sick-Peace.

Picked up a pair of these to share with my wife as we were both diggin the retro looks of this goggle.

Looks rad in person. The FOV is really nice because this goggle is really close to the face and the square lower corners gives you more visibility.

My only gripe with them is they put some pressure on my nostrils which affects breathing.
